Carved Scrimshaws

A MORE SUSTAINABLE ALTERNATIVE TO TRADITIONAL IVORY

Our Scrimshaw designs are carved into both Swordfish "Xiphias Gladius" Rostrums and Mother of Pearl Shells. Traditionally, "scrimshaw" is a name given to carvings done in bone such as ivory. However, we consciously chose not to carve into ivory of any sort because we are against the poaching of endangered animals. The motif of each finely carved scrimshaw has been carved by hand over a duration of a few days, with a detailled eye and care. They are impressive eye catchers and a sure showstopper.

Available in five different carvings:
1. Dragon
2. Dragon Phoenix
3. Japanese KOI Fish
4. Chinese Foo Dogs
5. Marine Motif
